There are sessions that are beautiful… And then there are sessions that feel aligned from the very first email.

C & C found me through another client — which already tells me something important. Referrals mean trust. And from the moment their first message landed in my inbox, I felt that quiet, easy connection. The kind where you just know this is going to be special.

As a Kingston family and maternity photographer, those first conversations matter to me. I don’t just show up with a camera — I show up wanting to understand how you want this season to feel when you look back on it years from now.
When they sent over their vision board, I actually smiled at my screen. It perfectly matched how I love to capture maternity — natural, connected, soft movement, honest moments. Not overly posed. Not forced. Just presence.
They even reached out asking for outfit tips. (Photographer heart = full.) And let me tell you… they followed that advice to a T.
Flowy fabrics.
Soft tones.
Movement-friendly pieces.
It was a dream!
The Kind of Evening Photographers Chase at Fairfield Historic Park
We chose Fairfield Historic Park for their maternity session — one of my favourite locations in the Kingston area. The open lake views, tall grasses, and quiet shoreline make it the perfect setting for couples who want something peaceful and romantic without feeling staged.
The day gave us the kind of weather you can’t manufacture. Warm summer day, a gentle breeze — just enough to give the lake the most beautiful rolling waves. And sunset? The golden kind that photographers chase all summer long.

We arrived at our location, took a moment to settle in, and I made sure everyone felt comfortable before we began. That’s always the first step. Comfort first. Magic second.
And then… it started.
I offered gentle direction:
Walk together this way.
Hold bump.
Hold hands and look at each other.
Play along the water.
Here’s a blanket — get cozy and just take this in.
That’s it.
When Everything Aligns

My finger never left the shutter.
The connection between them. The softness in the way he looked at her. The way she instinctively held belly. The lake moving behind them. The golden light wrapping around everything.
It was one of those sessions where the vibe is effortless. Where you’re not chasing moments — they’re unfolding right in front of you.
This season of waiting, of anticipation, of loving someone you haven’t met yet — it deserves to be documented gently. Slowly. With space to breathe.
C & C, thank you for trusting me with this chapter. Your love is steady and soft and strong all at once. And your little one is already surrounded by it.
xoxo

P.S
If you’re looking for a Kingston family and maternity photographer who captures connection in natural light — especially in beautiful lakeside locations like Fairfield Historic Park — I would be honoured to help you preserve this season in a way that feels honest and true.
Because these moments? They become memories faster than we realize.
