The last few months have been full — full of stories, full of trust, full of families inviting me into their most meaningful moments. And I kept thinking… how do I say thank you in a way that feels like more than words?

There is something incredibly special about being invited into a home during this season. The quiet anticipation. The carefully folded baby clothes. The way the light slips through the curtains and lands gently on a crib that hasn’t yet been used but already holds so many dreams.

C&C’s lifestyle engagement session felt less like “a photoshoot” and more like a slow afternoon spent together — the kind filled with laughter, movement, and those quiet little in-between moments that mean the most.

There are some couples who feel like familiar pages in your favourite book — and C&K are exactly that for me. Throughout the years, I’ve had the joy of photographing their family more than once. I’ve watched their love grow, their family expand, and their story unfold in the most beautiful ways. But this September engagement session? It felt different. For the first time, it was just the three of us. No little hands tugging at pant legs. No giggles running through the frame.

There are sessions that are beautiful…And then there are sessions that feel aligned from the very first email.

Some sessions are booked months in advance. Some are planned with Pinterest boards and timelines. And some… are simply given from the heart. M & J’s maternity session was a gift. Not because there was a special occasion circled on the calendar — but because I could see that mama needed a pregnancy pick-me-up.
